Missing you

People see me smile
Walk and talk, eat and sleep
I laugh out loud
And look so proud

I do a lot of things
Go here and there
I work and play
I sing and praise

I may do all of those things
Give me and I'll do it
Thinking positively
With so much energy

But when I sit on that corner
Reflect and pray, talk to Him
Tears fall and it's still you
I remember all of you

It is still you that I yearn
At the end of the day.
You're gone but
I am missing you everyday.

Fall In Love – Prayer By Father Pedro Arrupe

I want to share with you the poem I just heard a while ago in the church. It was included in the gospel and I have understand what LOVE is. And it is true that we have our unique way of loving.. :)

Nothing is more practical than finding God, that is,

than falling in love in a quite absolute final way.

What you are in love with,

what seizes your imagination,

will affect everything.

It will decide what will get you out of bed in the morning,

what you do with your evenings,

how you spend your weekend,

what you read, who you know,

what breaks your heart,

and what amazes you with joy and gratitude.

Fall in love,

stay in love,

and it will decide everything.

By: Father Pedro Arrupe

Did you like it? And what is your interpretation on this?
Happy Sunday guys!

Balik tanaw

Minsan maganda ring mag-aral muli

Minsan masayang magbalik tanaw
At aralin ang bayang iyong sinilangan.....

This is why I love summer....

For some reason I really love the beach even though I do not know how to swim. Here are some photos I took when my family and I went to Boracay last year.

My best travel buddies are my family - my  mom, brother and his future wife..

How about you, do you love summer?
Happy Friday! ^^

Korean Culture Caravan (part 1)

I was really looking forward for the weekend because I can attend the Korean Culture Caravan at Asian Center, University of the Philippines, Diliman. I had this feeling that this experience will be really unforgettable. And no doubt, it was a blast!..

How did I find out this event?

I was actually reading at one of the group pages of Boices (CNBLUE's fans) and I saw a post about it. I read and found it very interesting. The amazing part was..it's for FREE. I immediately reserve my slot for this. Because of this, I met a new beautiful and kindhearted friend, Kyline Jaq. I told myself that I was so lucky to have a company in the said event.

And this was how everything went yesterday.....

KOREAN CULTURE SEMINAR (10:00 AM- 12:00 PM)

The seminar started in singing the national anthem of the Philippines and Korea, consequently. Dr. Alfredo Pascual, President of the University of the Philippines gave the opening remarks. It was followed by a greeting speech by Cllr. Hwang Seong Un, Counsellor for Culture and Public Relations Embassy of Republic of Korea. Cllr. Seong Un was also the Director of Korean Cultural Center, he gave us the lecture about Korea with great enthusiasm.

Korea is really rich in culture and history. They balance traditional and modern cultural life. Their norms are also admirable, especially their respect for the elders. Aside from those, we know that Korea is also a place where you can find a lot of delicious food. There are really a lot more about Korea aside from famous Hallyu stars and K-dramas.

They also gave a presentation for "Why Korea for Your Educational Trip?". They really had good facilities and safe place to stay and to study. There was a short open forum after the presentation.

We were also entertained by a traditional fan dance of KCC's traditional fan dance team, followed by Kpop dance performance courtesy of Ms. Dasuri Choi and company.

Then, the moment that everyone was waiting for ...... Raffle time!

A new friend, Kimberly won the KCC shirt, others won other collectibles, kpop albums and the luckiest person in that room won a TRIP TO KOREA. wow! Korean Cultural Center of the Philippines and Korea Tourism Organization were so generous to grace that big prize.

They really introduced South Korea very well. I felt like I got sold by them. :) I feel like I want to go there as soon as possible! oh my! I think I need to save more. ;( Someday, I know I will go there.. Korea, you are surely included in my bucket list. ^-^

2013 plans

It's new year and I am very hopeful and wishful for so many things this 2013. The dreamer inside me has come alive again. I have been optimistic before but I guess I am more eager now. I don't usually plan things but I think I should be expecting a lot of things to happen this year.

Here is my 2013 plans:

1. Lose weight. Since November last year I am aware that I'm really gaining weight. Oh why I enjoy eating rice so much?! People around me keep on saying that I'm having a huge body change and honestly, I'm noticing it. The question is how will I lose weight? My answer is to decrease my rice intake and to have an exercise every morning. I am really hoping that I will not eat everything I said... hmm..

2. Travel. My teammates and I planned a camping and tour this February. I'm looking forward to our Nagsasa, Capones and Camaroan escapade. I strongly believe that everything will be alright and I'm praying that I can join my teammates in these awesome places.

3. Visit my grandparents in the province. It's the death anniversary of my grandfather this 19th of January, unfortunately we couldn't go there due to some financial restraints. I am hoping that in June, we can manage to go in our province for my grandmother's death anniversary. I really miss them so much. :(

4. Meet my favorite bloggers. Poor me as I was not able to join last Blogger's United 4 due to bad weather when I decided to come. But I will make sure that I will attend the BU5 this May with my friends and former colleagues. I miss hanging out with my TUNTUNTIS family. They are the best company when it comes to fashion or should I say 'girl's kikay' events.

5. Take the board exam. (TENTATIVE) I am still contemplating if I will take the board exam this year. I am not sure if I am ready to take it. Honestly, I'm quite scared for the board exam and I don't know why. I really enjoyed studying now but I am really not sure if my schedule can permit to have a review and to do all the preparations for the test. I am really praying for this another important event being teacher.

6. Training. I really wanted to be an effective teacher someday so I wanted to hone my skills and learn more about teaching. I want to make sure that I will not let the opportunity for education to pass. I wanted that every student to grab their privilege to study because not everyone has access on it.

* There is a rumor that my favorite band 'CNBLUE', will have a concert here in the Philippines. If in any case that information is true, I will surely attend the concert. I am really a proud 'boice' and I am so eager to watch them live.

I know that 2013 is very exciting and interesting. I am sure it will not just pass by perfectly smooth. We might encounter some failures, frustrations, heartaches, confusion, calamities/disasters, pain, sadness and more but still LIFE GOES ON... NO MATTER WHAT...AND WITH PRAYER AND FAITH WITH GOD...I AM SURE WE CAN DO THIS AND SURPASS THEM ALTOGETHER AS BETTER AND STRONGER INDIVIDUALS. Cheers for 2013!

Let's all be positive this year and keep smiling!
