Inside my mind

did you ever feel like you were trapped
cornered and can't go anywhere
felt like there's no where to go
you just need to stay still and wonder

but it won't work because you're a wanderer
you can't be just cornered and caged
you want to fly and just go anywhere
escape and run freely everywhere

It's sad because you are stuck
You've been there sitting
doing nothing and just wasting
waiting as if something will happen

but that won't do for you
it will never be
so, you tried to escape
You tried to fly but broke your wings

Then you were wounded
but to you it was nothing
You didn't care and wouldn't mind
as long as you can just go through
Even it's tough, you'll push through

You hate it because it's irritating
annoying and frustrating
then you promise and swear
that you'll never be like this

Your chance came, with anticipation
you are expecting so much
you know this is the time
You're getting there, slowly

You will see yourself there
running with all your strength
pushing through, so persistent
you don't care what will be broken
All you can do is just to move forward

Now, nothing matters
You just do everything you want
you have to dream high and make it right
keep moving forward, one step at a time

You're getting there
just keep moving, move forward
step, walk and run more
do it more and more

you shouldn't stop
your mind tells you not stop
step forward, move forward
don't let it slide, don't stop

never make yourself to stop
don't make yourself to like it
just keep on moving,
don't make yourself used to it

that won't really work
You're losing yourself
you might be lost
so now surely, you are found.

Korean Culture Caravan (part 2)

New experience, new friends

After the seminar, Kyline and I immediately went out to check their Book exhibit and the standee of our bias. I was certain that some of the attendees are k-pop fans, the Hallyu wave really gave a way to promote Korea as a tourist destination. When Kyline and I freshen up in the loo, I heard three ladies talking about the standee of my bias..haha..I did not mean to eavesdrop, I just could not help it. Then, instantly I had new friends, Ninya, Kimberly and Jenny. Of all the odd places, loo is the place where I met my fellow Boices. They also introduced us to other Boices.

The Photo Exhibit

Since it is lunch time, we went to a Korean/Japanese restaurant to eat. I enjoyed it with these beautiful ladies.

After our tummies were full, we returned back to the Hall for the afternoon classes. We were so ready for the Sagunja class and the Korean traditional dance class.

I enjoyed this Korean Culture Caravan, aside from I learned a lot about Korea, I also met new friends. Thank you ladies, Kyline, Ninya, Kimberly, Jenny, Raquel and your friends for accompanying me in this awesome event. This experience will not be possible without Korean Cultural Center of the Philippines and Korea Tourism Organization's effort to extend and share their beautiful country to us.

Human Nature

Whenever I encounter someone who acts very rude and who is a power tripper I always remind myself with the line that I've learned from a great teacher, "Human nature" (with a shoulder shrug). He said that there are people who will always made you feel down and who will always made you think that you're not good, sometimes they wanted you to feel like a dumb. There are people who will really belittle you, as if they are really powerful or what. But he said that we should not give interest on them, on what they do and say because it is part of 'human nature', people tend to be jealous and insecure. And the best way to shut them off -- INTEGRITY. I have experienced a lot of these before and I have experienced it today. I was just asking about something and she explained it (not that well) but it came to me very unprofessional and unacceptable. I will not rant on what happened today but I'd rather focus on the thought: "Should I let her not so good attitude pass?"

Then my ever favorite line came in to the picture, "hm, human nature". Well this should not be an excuse but natural and inevitable for some people. Sometimes I tend to over analyze situations especially if it is related to people. I would ask, "Why was she like that?", "Why her attitude is like that?" , "Did I do something wrong with her/him?"

Understanding other people is very important. Sometimes we just need to accept them too. What happened today really made me realized that HOW YOU ACT AND TREAT OTHER PEOPLE IS ALSO HOW YOU ARE AS A PERSON. The ATTITUDE you show is also the real YOU.

How about you? How was your day? Have you experience it before? Share your thoughts..

An escape

There was video that I've watched last Sunday. It is a story of a North Korean who escaped her country, she shared what she went through and how she and her family was able to do it. I think it is worth sharing.

Be inspired by her. Let's live the LIFE and let's help others.

“The kindness of strangers and the support of the international community are truly the rays of hope we North Korean people need.” -   Hyeonseo   Lee

spare time

I remember what I have heard from one of Jacky Chan's movie, "Being still and doing nothing are two different things".....

I guess it is true...

I may not be doing a lot of things lately (physically) but I am thinking a lot! How ironic! And things keep on running on my mind. I can't make them stop..They keep on coming and overflowing...

I am still...but my mind keep on working. Thinking, over thinking. I have these tendencies to over analyze things which made me feel troubled.

I am worrying too much, which I think I should be not.

I need to start moving..stop thinking and keep on going..

I can do this. this feeling will pass... you can too. If you are feeling the same, surely it will pass..

Just keep on going. Act now.. You can do it! l(^_^)

Wait there's more....some realizations...

(Continuation about the Baguio seminar)

Behind an event, there's a facade of success but there are more unfolded stories to share. If there were things that did not happen according to what was planned, we tend to complain, COMPLAIN. I think I'm one of those who did complaining. We tend to do that if we were really annoyed. But there are people who has A LOT TO SAY. We can say that yes, they are older, they are more experienced or they had post graduate degrees. I'm sorry to say but "so what?!". We respect their opinions and sentiments but sometimes, their attitude became different. To make it short, they are "POWER TRIPPERS". In this seminar, we had experienced a lot of things which involved people in higher authority. Sometimes, they are the ones who treated others unfairly. As general, people tend to change when they thought they knew everything. Not all the times, the elders are right. They are in authority but for people to respect and follow them, they should learn how to be fair and not be so proud of themselves. They are in authority and so we expect a lot from them and not give them a lot of favors. All of us should be humble in every action we do.

Let's try to go to something light. In this camp, we had to walk, we did long walks. It's actually fine, aside from it's a good way to digest food!^-^. It is a little exhausting but interesting especially with people you shared the same interests too. The feeling of catching your breath a little is a good sign of LIFE, and you're still breathing and you let your eyes eat those beautiful scenes. I think I could say that I know something more about my classmates. We became more bonded and closer. We learned how to share our lives to others. We re just energized because of the nook. Baguio is still Baguio. It's fun going to different places, taking pictures and buying more..and more 'pasalubong'. :) Sometimes it's really good to participate and to be willing to do things with others.

To digress, in this short seminar, I gain a lot. It's more that what I learned inside the hall. It's the experience that I had. It's more than anything else. What I got is more than the worth of the money or the certificate.

Going back to the subject, even people who had so much not in money or materials things in particular but, they may have so much knowledge and experience to share, they are imperfect. No one is perfect. All of us is not perfect. There are bad things inside us. The things that happened ideally should not happened but still, I could say we seized the days in Baguio. : )
